Cooper Glass Named MCLA All-American

The MCLA has announced that senior defenseman Cooper Glass has been named a 2018 All-American. Cooper, a Colorado native from Arapahoe High School in Centennial, started his college career at NCAA Division 1 Monmouth University where he excelled during his two years there. He became a starting defenseman for Monmouth and was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Conference Team after his sophomore year.

Cooper decided to transfer after his sophomore year and his long-time love for the Longhorns and his family's ties to Texas led him to Austin.  He had an immediate impact on the team and led a 2017 Texas defensive unit that was ranked in the top 5 in the nation following the season.  The Lone Star Alliance (LSA) coaches recognized his efforts by naming him 1st Team All-LSA as well as LSA Defensive Player of the Year.

In 2018, Cooper again started off strong but unfortunately missed multiple games due to an injury.  After his return toward the end of the season, the defense once again led the team into the LSA playoffs. The LSA coaches again recognized his play by naming him to the All-LSA 1st Team and then the national coaches rewarded him by selecting him as an MCLA All-American.

Congratulations, Cooper!
