4 Longhorns Named MCLA Scholar Athletes

The MCLA released its list of Scholar Athletes for the 2018 season this morning and it included 4 Longhorns.  John King, Riley Derby, Matthew Meadows and Jonathan Cook all received this prestigious honor.  To be named a Scholar Athlete, players have to be named to a post-season All-Conference Team AND maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.   Out of the approximately 200 teams in the MCLA, only 149 players qualified for this recognition.  Texas tied for the most Scholar Athletes in the Lone Star Alliance Conference.

This was King's third Scholar Athlete award, Derby's second and Meadows and Cook's first.  Congratulations on the way y'all represent The University of Texas and Texas Lacrosse both in the classroom and on the field!
