12/10 Update: Sunday playoff schedule for 12/11 posted online
12/1 Update: Due to the inclement weather forecast for the weekend and after consultation with the University Meteorologist and Recreation Sports the decision has been made to postpone the tournament to December 10th and 11th. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please check http://www.utlacrosse.com/shootout for more details during the week.

All registered teams must provide completed player waiver forms for every player on their team. Player waiver forms are required prior to first game for EACH player on the roster. No player will be permitted to play without a completed waiver form.

This years Shootout will be held the weekend of December 10th and 11th at Whitaker Fields. We're really excited about this year's tournament and look forward to seeing all of the High School, Youth, and Men's teams take to the fields.

Play Format

• Varsity: Tournament with distinguished champion**
• Junior Varsity, Middle School, and Men’s: Round-Robin Play
• High school games will have two referees, middle school and men’s games will have one
• In case of rain or inclement weather on Dec. 3rd & 4th,the games will be held on the following weekend, Dec. 10th & 11th ***

Registration

• Team Registration and full payment is due November 1, 2011
• Spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis
• Upon registration, Longhorn Shootout t-shirts will be offered for pre-order at a discounted rate

ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A COMPLETED WAIVER ON FILE WITH TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR PRIOR TO THE FIRST GAME. NO PLAYER WILL BE PERMITTED TO PLAY WITHOUT A COMPLETED WAIVER FORM.

Fighting of any kind will result in the automatic expulsion from the tournament. All players involved and anyone who leaves the sidelines will be thrown out. The Texas Men’s Lacrosse Team expects exemplary sportsmanship from all players, coaches, and spectators. Sideline behavior from coaches and spectators is expected to remain positive. The tournament director reserves the right to dismiss anyone who displays poor sportsmanship.

**Varsity divisions may be combined if there is insufficient demand
***Weather Disclaimer: The University of Texas Men’s Lacrosse Team guarantees that each team will have the opportunity to play at least two games on Saturday. Any fewer than two games for reason of weather or other act of God will result in a partial refund being issued to affected teams. Otherwise, Texas Men’s Lacrosse cannot guarantee favorable weather, and all games being played. Weather is deemed playable only by the University of Texas, and is outside of the control of any member of any team, including the University of Texas Lacrosse team. If rain-out occurs on Dec. 3rd & 4th, and the team chooses to withdraw from rescheduled games the following weekend, Dec. 10th & 11th, no refund will be awarded.
