Devoe Teaches Horns to Sharpen Steps
Posted October 10, 2007

Last week, the Longhorns benefited from a two-day visit from Rashad Devoe, former strength coach for several MLL and NLL teams and founder of Devoe Human Performance: a lacrosse specific speed, agility, and conditioning program. It is Devoe's firm belief that the most conditioned team with the quickest athletes from attack to D-poles will ultimately be the victor come the end of games. Though Devoe's drills appeared simple, Texas soon found out that at full speed the workout would push their planting, cutting, and stick control to the limits, all while undergoing arduous conditioning in a very compact time period. "I was very impressed with the team's drive and hard work, I could tell that they are focused and putting the work in now that will get them a championship later," Devoe said. Head Coach Noah Fink expressed his gratitude, "I was very impressed with Rashad's ability to teach the team. He communicates well with athletes, which translates into our players working hard and improving. I think that all of our players will absolutely be better off after working with Rashad."
