Texas finishes 2010 regular season with 21-8 drubbing of rival A&M
Posted April 17, 2010

In front of a capacity crowd at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School in Southwest Austin, the eighteenth-ranked Longhorns put on an impressive showing to defeat in-state rival Texas A&M 21-8 last Saturday.

Sophomore midfielder Johnny McKnight led the way for Texas with a game-high five goals— he registered a hat trick in the first quarter alone. McKnight was honored as the game’s MVP for his efforts.

Texas built an early lead and was never threatened down the stretch. The Longhorns scored the second-most goals of their conference schedule while holding an opponent to single-digits for the eighth time all year.

The showcase matchup was a part of the LXM Pro Tour, which made just its second stop of the year in Austin and also featured a professional lacrosse game and live music.
